That last one knocked my alignment out

The Rumble Strips have posted two new songs over at their site...sweet sounds of ska influenced music there...

Rumble Strips - 4 walls
Rumble Strips - My Oh My

It's amazing how easily I'm influenced by those horns...ska runs deep in these veins.

Their site is being revamped, so head over to their myspace page for more music and videos. They just signed a record deal with Fallout/Island and our working on their next album - due for release next year. But there's an EP on the way (Nov. 20th) and you can download a track from it, "Oh Creole," from their myspace page.

Here's their video for No Soul:

Not sure about calling them ska/ska influnced but good call nonetheless, The Rumble Strips channel the spirit of Dexy's Midnight Runners very well. 'Motorcycle' was easily one of the best singles of 2005.

I won't argue with you there...it's more of a personal thing...ska is such a big part of my own musical taste that I tend to give it to much credit. I hear a horn and immediately think of an old ska tune.

There's a lot of blue-eyed soul in these kids...and his voice only adds to that. I hear Dexy's in there, you're right, but there's more soul and less gypsy-street music in them than the Dexy's most people think of.
